Begin Your Private Pilot Journey
Private Pilot training requires 40 hours of flight time, typically completed in a Cherokee 140, C-150, or C-172. All training meets FAA standards and student proficiency. If you start at zero hours and fly four to five days a week, the training takes about four to six weeks to complete. Of course, the weather, time, and proficiency factor into your completion timeline.
See More, Do More with Advanced Training
As a private pilot, you are approved to fly when the weather is clear or under visual flight rules (VFR). Why not open your window of flight by earning your Instrument Rating? An Instrument Rating would be your next step.
This added training gives you the skills to fly in low visibility conditions or under instrument flight rules (IFR).

“The Private Pilot students are the most rewarding to train! You’ve taken them from zero hours, zero training, and now you’re watching them take off and land alone without you sitting next to them.” – Mathew Wollmann, Instructor, Riggin Flight Service
